well naturally, they put on a good show.
but there was just one thing.
i happened to be the second in line at the signing, and i did get a picture with them, but when i tried to ask a question after that, like 2 of the members deliberately ignored me. that kind of offended me because i wasn't expecting that from them. and what made it worse was that jeffree star had come to their booth and starting talking to the lead singer; and then a fan of his tried to ask for a picture. and the two of them together ignored that fan. a bunch of other GE fans just stood there like, flabbergasted.
either way, they did play a great set, some of the songs were a surprisng choice on the set list but they rocked it out.
alesana fucking kicked ass yesterday. their set was probably one the the clearest, and hest sounding ones that i heard. you could understand everything they were saying, and even hear them from the hill. i missed their signing because the line was too long, but i did buy a few things from the vendor. and i think it's really sweet that they help clean up.
P.S., they made every song sound like the album. it was something you had to see to believe.
this show was fucking dope. this was the first time i saw A7X and it was definetely worth it! i must have taken like 50 pictures [all polished up, thank god for photoshop] during their set.
d'espairs ray was the best part though. i must see them again, especially since my roomate kept annoying the hell out of me with his weird text messages. we ended up getting in a misunderstanding that didn't resolve itself until i went to the bathroom. what a mistake.
ah..BFMV--no words for this. now i understand why my friends are so in love with them. i quickly fell under their spell as well. after buying the album late--i was hoping that they would sound just as great live. and they didn't dissapoint! no complaints during this set; except for some weird hawaiian guy burping repeatedly [um..yeah...].
i don't really like atreyu, bless the fall is okay, so i was pretty much half-listening during their sets.
the underneath was a pleasant treat though. i have a friend who loves dir en grey but couldn't come to the show, so i made a video for her.
in conclusion; i got home still pumped with energy from the show several hours later.
i really like silverstein. although for some reason at this show things were a bit different for me. every song in the set sounded awesome [like they were not tired at all], but as usual; seattle sucks when it comes to crowd participation. i felt like i was the only one not acting retarded[talking shit about the band, knocking people over who were close to the door, shouting out dumb things, playing frisbee with silverstein's most recent album, etc.] During the 3rd song 2 people behind me started trying to push me into this huge guy in front of me; so i had to keep switching places with a tall guy 3 people down from me. other than that, it was great. even though my camera took several blurred pictures and i didn't hear 2 songs i was looking forward to; i had a kickass time.
can't wait to see them again! the place wasn't full but it was close enough :D
