Hey Mark!
My name is Ivan. I’m a bass player too. I was always adored by your bass sound. It is just so rad and perfect.
Recently I recorded my bass guitar. And that’s what I was using
1. Fender American Vintage 57 Precision Bass with Basslines SPB-3 pickups off course
With Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky Round Wound Bass Strings
2. Hartke H3500A Bass Amplifier Head + 4×10 and 1×15 cabinets.
3. I was using two microphones at the same time: MXL4000 and MXL 603S
4. At the end I was using compression 4:1, -20db. That’s it… no eq or something.
If you get a chance please check it out. Cuz I need an advise. I’m trying my best to improve my sound. I don’t know what gear you’re using to get this awesome sound but I’m using what I’ve got. It would be great if you could comment it. It is on http://www.myspace.com/about18 the beginning of 4th song (it’s called “Drama”).

You guys should do a surprise House of Blues CA tour. SD, LA and Anaheim. That would be sweet. I know blink is huge but imagine how awesome that would be for those who got in. This would be sweet for +44 or Boxcar Racer as well.

I think when I was 10 I started listening Blink 182. I was very sad because you guys stopped to play togheter when you were about to come to Brazil to a concert.
