The Birthday Gauntlet Has Been Thrown Down
just got back to the states from japan. the past week has been amazing and crazy, so i haven’t had time to post, but it is on the way. before i get to that, though, we need to talk birthdays. craig had his birthday while we were in osaka and tokyo (depending on how you were calibrating the date, craig used BOTH california and japan time zones) and at the show in osaka everyone sang happy birthday to him. happy birthday craig.
then we flew home yesterday and when i landed i got a birthday email from my dad. it is still a day away, so i didn’t really get it until i opened the email and saw this…
that’s right, people. my dad took out a billboard in my old hometown of ridgecrest to celebrate my birthday. yeah it’s a little weird, but more importantly it’s a lot awesome! now whenever any of the 24,927 residents of ridgecrest choose to dine at the carriage inn, they can do so rejoicing in the knowledge that it is my birthday.
now let’s see what the REST of my family does for this special occasion. hopefully one of them will petition congress to make march 15th a national holiday.

It’s a good thing your Dad got that billboard……I had no idea about Plus 44. Well you see things are SO BUSY here in Ridgecrest that I just now, today, used my government computer to look up what Plus 44 was. May you know that I enjoyed the billboard for two consecutive days driving into work. Good job Dad for spreading the news.
