Figured Out the Shark Posters!!!
a few weeks ago i posted a photo of a street art poster i saw in west hollywood. then this morning i saw this one in beverly hills. they’ve been popping up around los angeles lately, and i just got tipped to this website. apparently the “white mike” posters are meant to draw attention to the plight of great white sharks in our oceans. the photography is amazing. whoever is making these posters, i want to buy one for my house. HMNIM even gets a shout out on their blog. PROOF!!! i saw this one first, before anybody. you. are. welcome. do i get a job as art critic for the LA times now?

its true sharks do rule… just minutes ago i spilled arizona green tea all over my Jaws shirt
there is a fantastic photo of you and travis jogging in US weekly that came out thursday.
OH YEAH and i had a dream that i saw you at this weird hypnosis thing where people were eating poisonus candy and then dropping off the earth it was WEIRD. anywayz yaaaa

Mark, I’m sorry, this has nothing to do with the post, but I’m really really desperate.
I was rehearsing today and took my brother’s guitar with me (a black Epiphone SG G400) and when we left the studio I was putting my stuff back in the car and FORGOT his guitar there on the sidewalk, when I noticed it was already gone.
I walked around the neighborhood for 3 straight hours (walked, really walked) from 10pm to 01am asking people if they saw anyone carrying a guitar case, and obviously, that didn’t get me very far…
I’m going to put posters up that I’m looking for the guitar, went to the police (just to find out that police in Brazil don’t do the whole lost & found thing… so they were no help at all), I’m looking all around the internet to see if anyone reported finding a guitar there, but it’s probably gone forever…
I feel absurdly down with all this… I’m his older brother, I should be more responsible with his stuff…
He got that guitar just because of Greg Hetson from Bad Religion (I know you already knew he’s from BR), and saved his year salary, from his first job to get that specific guitar (a Gibson is WAY out of our price range here in Brazil), and then I go on and loose it like that…
I know this is absurd, but it can’t hurt me to try this with you… I’m already pretty much hopeless in ever getting the guitar back, and even if I got it, it won’t erase the fact that I forgot it there, his most precious possession.
Is there ANY way you could help? I know you know the guys from BR, or at least have a way for me to try and get in touch with them…. My brother is an absurdly huge BR fan, he could probably replace Greg if he ever got the chance… he could play the whole set list without freaking rehearsal if he could stop trembling for beeing onstace with Graffin, and Jay Bentley, Mr. Brett…
Trust me, he’s that fanatic… for the songs, for the lyrics, for the idea, all that.
So, I’m not asking for anything specific, not asking for a guitar, not asking for tickets or anything like that… just for a way of maybe getting in touch with someone who represents them, or anyone of them… I just gotta make up for this severe screw up…
And even if his guitar turns out, it still wouldn’t be enough, you know.. so I’m trying, in a longshot, I’m aware, to do more for him… It would mean the world to him, specially after he wakes up tomorrow and I tell him I lost his most precious connection to his favorite band.
Please, Mark… please. I’m pretty sure this sounds way absurd. But I know you have the means, and I’m trying to do the absolutely best I can so he could actually forgive me.

Mark…it’s cool how you hunted down the posters and found the source I love the twitter post you’ve been putting up…… I’m a video production intern at a company called Dynamic Network Services in Manchester, NH, and I wanted to know if I could use a +44 song (155) as background music for a highlight reel for the company being at a trade show, but Youtube doesn’t allow trademarked music without permission? If that’s cool, could you e-mail me at ryohara@dyn-inc.com? You wouldn’t be selling a product, I just like the album and thought it would be cool to use a song off of it.
