Thank You, Come Again
because the simpsons movie comes out in a couple of weeks, some 7-11’s around the country have been converted to kwik-e-marts. so today chris holmes, paul and larry (+44’s managers), and i all piled into paul’s escalade and drove out to one. it was awesome. we went to the one in los angeles at the corner of washington and sepulveda, and got squishees and donuts. they have all kinds of rad simpsons signage and product there. krustyo’s cereal, radioactiveman comic books, hats that say kwik-e-mart on them, and buzz cola. this was definitely the first time i have waited in line for 15 minutes to shop at a 7-11 and it was totally worth it. i can’t wait for the movie to come out.
if you go to the website for the simpsons movie you can make your own simpsons avatar and see what you would look like as a character on the show. i got all amped and got about halfway though building one for myself until i realized “hey wait a minute, i was actually ON the simpsons. i already HAVE a simpsons character.” so there. you may now be jealous.

that’s wicked, man. i was definitely thinking about hitting the one in NYC; didn’t even think about drawback of the hype machine, which is more often than not, crowds and lines. either way, this is one of the coolest marketing campaigns to come around in a LONG time, and i’m sure will be remembered as one of the best. i need to participate in this.

Mark, I remember watching the episode of the simpsons that you, Tom, and Travis were on when I was younger, and I remember thinking to myself “Who the hell is blink-182?!” Now you guys are my favorite band, have been for awhile now. I’m so glad you’re back together! Can’t wait for the new album!
