The Big Apple City
New York CIty!! Spent today at Fuse, doing an interview and hanging out with Chris Tomson from Vampire Weekend. We’ve kind of been friends for a couple of years and it was good to see him again. Super nice guy, and I’m stoked for all the success they’re having. He also taught me what an “oxford comma” is.
Then walked around the city aimlessly for a couple of hours, trying to take artsy photos of the beautiful architecture here, with mixed results. The MoMA is currently running an exhibit of Tim Burton’s work, and we got to check that out in the evening. So amazing!! As always, completely blown away by his creativity and talent.
Here are some photos.

my personal favorite is the 3rd one counting from the top, it really has a different feel to it, beyond urban, it’s really cool. Your vertical photos are also rad, you always liked shooting some of those anyway right?
You beeing in NY also reminded me of adam, i miss his music.

These are my favorite kinds of posts, like from back in the +44 days. Pictures of a day can tell a great story.

HAHA Mark, you and I must be some sort of twins cuz I absolutely adore Tim Burton and his work. The man is just beyond brilliant and a truly gifted filmmaker, I’m so jealous you got to see the exhibit.
On the other hand, I’m glad you like New York City! I’m so fortunate to have been born in this city and to have lived in Long Island. It’s too bad I moved at age 3 to live in boring ass Florida, and not a day goes by where I don’t wish to go back. If that made any sense! lol
Nice shots, perhaps photography should be a side project of yours. Call it Photos by Hoppus or some shit lol

That storm was wicked. I can’t believe you were in NYC the other day! I wonder if anyone even notice mark hoppus was walking right past them.. that would have been an exciting day in NYC for myself if i saw you walking by. I would not be able to help myself and ask to speak to you about stuff since I have been a fan of blink since the beginning. its been so many years and i still have not ever gotten the chance to meet you.
