New Camera
My new camera is set to arrive today. The Leica M9. Been waiting for this one for a while now, and am super excited to take it out and start taking more photos. I seem to go in hot and cold phases with photography, but every time I get a new camera, I get inspired and take a bunch more pictures. Mind you, 99% of them suck. But there are always those one or two out of every hundred that I dig, and that makes it worth the time and effort. You can expect a lot more photo postings on this here blog in the coming weeks and months. I’ve also decided to try and write more often. When important things come up, I usually take to the blog, and leave out the smaller day-to-day only-mildy-interesting items. But since this site is all mine and I can do whatever I want, I’m going to write about more nonsense. You can skip over all of it or check the site every day or once a year. No worries. You’re always welcome here. Just be warned that you may be presented with a page-long soliloquy about the warp zones on super mario bros.
Leicas are rangefinder cameras. Manual focus. Gotta really want it to make a photo happen. Have to put the camera up to your eye and turn the focus ring. Set the aperture. Compose. I can’t wait to walk the streets of New York and take cliche photos of skyscrapers. And the European Tour this summer. And the studio when we finally get recording with blink-182. By the way, there are several dates on the European tour yet to be announced, so keep your eyes open.
Of course, I’m at the mercy of delivery services, so the camera may not arrive today, in which case you can disregard everything you just read. Also, for the record, I tend not to use the warp zones on the mario bros games until I’ve already beaten them, then use the warps when replaying. Care.

Awesome! Glad to see you’re back to the everyday things and not just big events!
I work as a concert coordinator at my university and I was starting to get pissed and bitter at how the music business can be. Today I listened to Blink and was reminded of how I fell in love with music because of you guys. Just wanted to say thanks for the music! Can’t wait to hear the new record!

March 10th, 2010 at 11:24 am
I go on your page (this one obviously) like everyday and every other day and I love to read what your up to and artists that you recommend. I encourage the fact you are going to make the effort to write something here everyday, it’s not always easy because sometimes inspiration is hard to come by, but you are sure making the effort. kuddos.
I’m a die hard Blink 182 fan. I went to the concert in West Pam Beach, FL (9.26.09) which was my first concert ever and now I believe no other concert will ever be as great as the one I went to that night. Keep on rocking and writing.
March 10th, 2010 at 12:28 pm
