oh man, here we go. the sickness has invaded our tour. we have men down. today shane and gil both woke up ill. it is to be expected. a tour in the winter is always harboring some low-grade virus or infection, and today it chose to rear its ugly head on our tour. on shane. and gil. they spent the day miserable, sleeping on the bus while craig and i did press.

which is for the better because it is cold and rainy here today. europe. cold and rainy. imagine that.


but in direct opposition to the illness floating around backstage, the show tonight went off. such a rad time. the hottest, sweatiest show of the tour so far. so. much. fun. thanks hamburg, i think you sweated the illness out of my friends. now we gotta get on the bus and drive overnight to brussels. home of the sprouts. i bet they have never heard that joke before…

and now for your viewing displeasure is some sweet double behind-the-back guitar and bass playing from the show in berlin last night. bye bye.

today we are in berlin. we woke up and went immediately into six hours of press.

we did about seven different interviews and photo shoots at the hotel.

then drove to mtv and did german trl.

after that we came here to the venue. craig shredded behind-the-head style at the soundcheck this afternoon.

but by far the raddest part of today was, as we were leaving mtv, we looked over on the wall and saw this:

that’s right. it is a caricature of david hasselhoff. a SIGNED caricature of david hasselhoff. it’s of him from back in the knight rider days. as we stood staring in awe of the sight before us, the woman from mtv nodded knowingly and said “yes, we bow before that picture.”

now we are backstage waiting to play and gil just farted. i think i’ll go go watch our lunar activities.
