Bio: The four members of Bristol based The Following Announcement came together towards Christmas 2005. Founding members Vocalist/guitarist Simon Bright and Bassist Matt-James started writing punk rock tunes to pass the time into finding drummer Ben Poole and guitarist Adam Evans to complete the line up in 2006. The band spent the year touring and recorded there first E.P High School Heroes. With influences from the likes of Fall Out Boy, The Starting Line and Panic At The Disco the band took this sound and created something that they can really call their own with songs including “Crowd Surfing Is The Newest Law In Town” and fan favourite “Prom Night”. With the help of myspace and Touring up and down the UK the band are earning a name for themselves. Playing venues such as Bristol’s Colston hall, the famous Cavern in Liverpool, Bristol Carling Academy and the Barfly in London. A pre album version of the song “Friday Nights Aint All That will be appearing on this years “Undead Artist” compilation from USA based label Firestorm Records which later went on to sign the band to there small label and reached 13 on the Australian mp3 chart. The Following Announcement are about to release there first Album with the help of Firestorm Records named The Art Of Conversation. Having just finished another UK tour with packed out shows around the UK the band are building up a fan base that can easily contend with any up and coming band.
