Disturbed was amazing. I was in the pit and soooo close to David Draiman so it was a perfect night.
Disturbed was great-sounded amazing, Machine head should have been on the main stage the were great, Slipknot, well what can you say they burn the place down(just wished they played longer)the others well mastodon, they were ok and the rest on the other stages were ok, but machine head melted the rocks we were on..All&All great show.. better the ozzfest--The New Heavy Weights MAYHEM..
slipknot was fucken awesome. machine head fucken killed the place. the bands did'nt play long enough. too many other bands. 45 minute wait for food, sometimes that long for beer. mayhem fest was alright. need less bands so the bands can play longer sets.
Me and my friend went to the park then to see slipknot and disturbed. Disturbed, well all i can say is they were so amazing that my friends uncle who listens to classic rock broke out in a sweat he was cheering so much, THEY ROCKED EVERYONES FACES OFF. Last night was the first time i ever saw Slipknot live and i gotta say DEFINATELY WORTH SEEING. i mean i was a diehard slipknot fan before but they are amazing live they put on an awesome show. but i do agree with bcrisafulli they could have played alittle longer but otherwise definately worth the money.
i've seen dragonforce, mastodon, and disturbed a good couple times, and they were all awesome as always, the main reason I went was Wait and bleed... and SlipKnot didn't play it. Ultimately disappointed by that. they should of done an encore, and they probably would have if some of their members didn't have injuries.
Machinehead was awesome there's no doubt about it they were the best band by far there and put on a hell of a show I would give them 5 stars. too bad they only played for a half hour and the rest of the lineup wasn't all that great. slipknot and disturbed know how to put on great shows too but their music isn't that special. next time they should get some good bands like bodom, necrophagist, arsis, as openers and get slayer, opeth and megadeth to headline, and bring back machinehead. then there would be real mayhem!
It was a great show. Disturbed ruled, wish they had a longer set. DragonForce are guitargods!! Took way too long to get a beer!!
disturbed freakin rocks....all i have to say
Okay then, here we go...The mainstage was terrific. I was in the pit section, front and center the entire time. That required missing alot of acts on the smaller stages. That kinda stunk, but then again I'd have paid the same price for just the top 3 bands so what the hell. Dragonforce had the best opening ever. Topless girls on trampolines will please any metal crowd. I hope to see more of that in the future, only with girls with breasts large enough to bounce. They played great and entertained with humor and style. I managed to catch a pick from Sam during TTFATF so I'm elated. Disturbed may have been the crowd favorite. I know the "moshing" was the most intense during their set. Great vocals, sounds like the cds, I like that. By the way, did anyone else notice the way the singer "carries himself"? I won't bother to explain that. If you noticed you know what I mean, if you didn't notice I'll only upset you when I try to explain. Hey, I still like Judas Priest, that's all I'm gonna say. Moving on, Slipknot was bad ass. BAD ASS. Again, Corey sounds like he does on the cds. Nice job. Amazing stage too. very interactive and fun. I need to see all of these bands again very soon. I wish I'd have went to the Pittsburgh and Camden shows too. Okay, now here's my gripes. You couldn't get in with a wallet with a chain on it, yet they would gladly sell you one once you were inside. You couldn't wear "sharp" or "pointy" jewelery, but they were selling glass pipes for your pot smoking pleasure. Broken glass, last I checked, was pretty darned dangerous. But my biggest bitch was the ground at the small stages. It was a damned rock quarry. Rocks larger than my fists are crappy to stand on, worse to mosh on, and worse still when thrown at a fan or band members noggin. I'm not saying they were thrown, I'm simply saying that the safety rules were just goofy. Bring in some dirt and plant some grass for next year, Darien Lake. My feet are killing me.
The show ROCKED!!! I got escorted back stage and met Sid, #6, #7 and a few other guys from disturbed and other bands. later i met the guitarist from Dragonforce i was helping him find "a fat american hoe". and he got us up front into the standing area.
nice guy, and for you big girls look for him the bigger the better. on the way out we ran into the guitarists from walls of jerrico and machine head.
I have to thank Chris from pickrset and the guys from dinglife.com sorry to bug you the other night. and i cant wait for the packages you guys rock. and if you want a pic of the contest winner at the show the photographer from www.gritafuerte.com a mexican magazine got a good pic of me in front of the slipknot set in the pit. thanx for everything.
There's not enough stars to rate how AWESOME this show was! Machine Head, Dragonforce, Disturbed, and Slipknot were simply amazing!! I'm particularly a big fan of Disturbed and Slipknot, this was my first time seeing them and I was not disappointed. I agree with the other posters though, I wish they played longer. The down side, as everyone else has expressed, were the damn rocks, I don't know how many times I almost twisted my ankle(s). The more personal complaint I have were some very inconsiderate people, I'm only 4'10 and my husband and I got seats that were more towards the back (because I'm not a mosher), and they were in a middle area where there were no seats in front of me and I could see the stage perfectly, except when some people decided to gather in front of me... who obviously saw me and yet still decided to stand in front of me anyway, at least security shoed the majority of them away. I'm not trying to be a nitpicker here, but come on; I paid to see the show too. Then there were the horrendous food lines, not to mention prices, $4.00 for water!? Despite the minor complaints, I had a great time and it was well worth seeing!!
This was the first metal fest i have been to and it was great. STEMM, 5FDP, Disturbed, and Slipknot were amazing. Dragonforce was horrible. The line to get a Rockstar Energy drink was way too long and only was open 2 times for like a half-hour
HOLY SHIT, DAVID DRAIMAN IS THE SEXIEST MAN ALIVE AND HE HAS A GREAT VOICE TO GO WITH IT. DISTURBED KICKED ASS, SLIPKNOT ROCKED THE HOUSE. MACHINE HEAD, DRAGONFORCE, BLACK TIDE, FFDP, AND ALL THE REST WERE KILLER. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHO IS ON THE TICKET FOR NEXT YEAR. ALOT ALOT ALOT OF ENERGY AND CRAZINESS THE WHOLE DAY.
