The show was great! I saw Mastodon, who were decent, but I really was more interested in the headliners.
Machine Head fucking rocked! They played some old stuff and played Halo off their new album, The Blackening. Dragonforce also sounded really good on the main stage. Disturbed was fantastic, played Prayer, Indestructible, Into the Fire, and some other songs, the crowd was friggin crazy! And last but not least was Slipknot to close the show. They started with Before I Forget. Played a song off their first album, and of course, one of my favorite songs "Duality". Their new song Psychosocial I really liked and then closed with People=Shit. The Maggots were out full force and where so insane, I tell you I finally made it to the front of the stage, it was a battle, I am one huge bruise! Had a fucking blast, and hope this festival continues in years to come!
One negative would be that the Rockstar tent closed, don't know if they ran out, but there was no more and it was only 7:30pm. Come on! They freakin sponsered the tour, and no more drink. That was so STUPID!

What a great show. Got to watch Airborne and 36 Crazy fists up close, both put on amazing sets. I'm not even a fan of thier music, but great performances. We skipped Machinehead and Mastodon (as I've seen both before and was not impressed at all) and found our place at the Main stage. Dragonforce put on a really energetic show. I felt sorry for the singer, because he was attempting to get girls to flash the band, with no luck. I mean come on, it's a metal show, in a city where it's legal to be topless and not one exposed boob to be seen. Hence why I gave this show 4 stars instead of 5. It's expected at a show. Anyway, Dragonforce did a great set. What a great group of extremely talented musicians...
I was feeling really DISTURBED and so was the rest of the crowd. Great set. This was the 3rd time I've seen Disturbed and they never fail to put on a great show. The crowd was really moving. A pit erupted right beside my sister and just as I was going to pull her away another pit erupted between us! They did all the great tunes.. Stricken, Stupify, Down with the Sickness, Liberate, Prayer, and Inside the fire, plus many more.
NOW FOR SLIPKNOT! Another great performance. As soon as they came on the crowd went fucking nuts! Psst... hey adrenalinejunkie.... they started with Surfacing, not Before I forget... that was thier singalong... But to move on...The only bad thing I could say was they should have played longer, and they didn't do Wait and Bleed. It's thier most popular song and it was thier most requested song, as per the pick you set pole. But even without it, great set.

I definately would go to see any of these bands again, and again and again... I really don't care who it was sponsered by, or who was permoting it, it was all about the bands...

GREAT, GREAT show!!!

holy shit!!!!!!!
what a crazy fucking day I had at mayhem festival in Toronto. I think the bands were pleased with the fans and those of which who hadn't been to T. before were fucking shocked.

lol i got kicked out for underage drinking....really sucked, but then some rly cool security dude snuck be back in on the other end of the park: so i got to see the knot :) but missed mastodon and machine head :(

as the only show in Canada for the entire tour i guess the motocross assholes were to tired to make such an exhausting journey up here(w/e: we didnt need them)

I went just for Dragonforce & Disturbed, and it was amazing as expected. I'm glad Disturbed was able to play so many songs, including 10 000 Fists! Looking forward to another good Rockstar Mayhem Fest next year!

A great show... we don't get enough of these in Toronto.

The side stages were amazing. 36 CF smoked... as expected. The finales on both stages were fantastic, Underoath and Machine Head blew me away & had some crazy motorcycle stunts in the back to boot.

The headliners performed as expected... Dragonforce could not have asked for a better setting... lmao... the sunset, the continuous wind in their faces, the reflection of the sun off ZP's glasses... priceless.

No need to echo other reviews... anyone there will tell you Diesturbed and Slipknot killed.

the concert was effing awesome, got my shirt signed by the lead singer for airbourne, and me and my buddy's got a picture in with them to. xD, the mosh pits were mad there man, during slipknot and disturbed, we started a mosh pit almost everytime, went crowd surfing, and snapped my wrist back in the mosh pit after doing a back flip in the mosh lmao. it was literaly the best show i have ever seen. mayhem rocked downsview way harder then the famous SARS stock that rocked the park a few years ago.

Absolutely fucking amazing show! I don't usually go to that many big name concerts so when I decide to spend the day at one, I like to know that I am properly impressed and Mayhem Fest did it for me. I have been a proud Disturbed fan for many years and they have never disappointed me and finally seeing them live in my city is something I will never ever forget. This is the first Mayhem Festival ever and at their only Canadian tour date, I am proud to have been a part of what will go down in metal history. Rock on!

Disturbed and Slipknot were Fucking awesome but the venue sucked and so did most of the day until those guys came on stage the line was 3 hrs to get in we missed the first 2 bands it was fully outside and the metal mulisha couldnt perform as it was to windy we couldnt leave to our car and come back , you couldnt bring in food or water so for food and water all day as it was hot was $100 and i had a 12 pack of water they dumped it, there were no bathrooms outside the gate so people in line were pissing in there pants and not allowed to bring anything to sit on so with a severe leg injury they made us stand for 12hrs i would definetly see Slipknot and Disturbed again but not at that venue

I didn't get in until about 3:45 - 4:00, so I missed Suicide Silence which I was kind of pissed about. Machine Head were also supposed to sign until 5:00, but they didn't and I missed them. Those were the only two bad moments of my day.
I saw all my favourite bands play this day, and it was fucking amazing. Slipknot were just straight up god-like. When Joey's drum kit came up and started spinning at the end... I'm pretty sure everyone had an eyegasm.
It was one of the greatest shows I've been to yet, and I would definitely go again.
Keep your feet on the ground and your fists in the air!

Front and center for 36 Crazyfists, got my face smashed into a bar! fucking great! and i got to meet all the guys, Brock is a class guy. Got to meet WOJ too. and of course Slipknot and Disturbed kicked fucking ass! Can't wait for the next one!
