Updated 2009-10-11 22:19:26What can I say? The Reverend knows how to put on a show! A last minute cancellation of Motorhead threw RHH into the headliner spot. I was absolutely thrilled by this. (No offense to Lemmy & crew, Motorhead is a bad ass band. I remember Lemmy stepping in to fill in for an opening act that canceled on RHH here in Las Vegas before. He killed!) The Rev & Company did a fantastic job switching the show around for the cancellation. They sounded great & brought down the house.
Although a large percent of the crowd was there to see Motorhead... RHH won a number of fans last night. They played some old favorites, some new tunes & covered Motorhead's "Ace of Spades" with a guest singer.
I could see & hear the religious conversions occurring around the room. As the Reverend Horton Heat preached, the unconverted saw the light & experienced their own psychobilly freak out.
It was an excellent show & I will continue to see RHH every time I have a chance. No one f*cking rocks like The Reverend Horton Heat!
