Bio:
In the middle of summer in 2007, Dallas, Dylan and Christian formed a band, which had no name at the time. A few months later, I met them on my first day of school...
Instantly attracted by the inescapable force of awesome that surrounded my entire being, the three of them approached me. They told me about their band, which was finally named XD. I really wanted to be in the band as a rhythm guitarist, but they already had two guitarists and they didn't need another one...plus I couldn't play guitar... Eventually Dallas and Christian taught me how to play, and after a while they told me that they needed a singer. Dallas asked me if I could sing... Deep inside I knew the answer...but I told him that I could anyways...
November 9th, I asked out this girl from school. That day I made a chord progression and wrote her a crappy song called Psychotic Dreams. The next day, I met the band at Christian's house and played them the song. Somehow they were temporarily blinded from the sucktacularness of the song, and I was recruited into XD. That day Christian's mom gracefully entered the room...and as our eyes met for the first time, I knew she was the one... She hugged me and gently whispered in my ear that she was glad I was in the band, and that I would be coming over for "band practice." I never missed a single day of band practice after that...
It turned out that there were about three hundred rappers with the name XD, so we eventually changed our name to Pink for President. Dylan thought of the name randomly while playing on the Pink Team at the greatest Halo party ever, which took place in my living room...
Later we wrote two new songs, An Angel and On the Way, and eventually I brought my cousin Andrew over to play drums. And he sat there at his drum set and listened to us play a crappy song. Disgusted with the horrible sound, Andrew quickly grabbed his drum sticks and made a terrible song a good song with five-hundred-mile-per-hour drum solos... He was then forced into the band against his will... Then the band was complete, and we continued to work on our first E.P. "I've Gotta Think of Something." A few weeks before it was finished, we played our first show at my cousin Kenneth's birthday party... The neighbors even started coming over to listen to us and everything... We destroyed so many nine year-old eardrums that day...
A few days after finishing our E.P., we played at the Fall Festival in Enterprise. That was the first time our band's name was put in a newspaper... We played What's My Age Again (Blink 182), On the Way, Prom Night (Drowning Fish), Cream Soda, and then an encore of Copper Coin and An Angel... It turned out to be an awesome show...
Now we're working on our next demo, and we'll be playing at Featured Players in Dothan sometime in early 2009...
