Bio:
Dreamkiller is a Greensboro, NC based rock/alternative concept band with high goals in the industry. Founded in 2004 by professional actress/singer/model, Christy Johnson, who has been featured in such films as Tobe Hooper's Mortuary, National Lampoon's Pucked, Gospell Hill, and has perfomed at Carnegie Hall as well as two international tours to Europe, Dreamkiller played 73 shows in the first year and half they were together. Under their former name, they released a pop-punk/alternative album dedicated to the memory of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson entitled "Just Another Freak In The Freak Kingdom" in April, 2005 and toured the Southeast Region that May to promote it. In early 2008 they were joined by Mark Perry, who is most recognized as Chris Daughtry's former guitarist from "Absent Element", and rounded out the band with David Lanning, Erny Galvan and Guatemalan native, Tian Garcia.
Don't let the name Dreamkiller mislead you! Most of the colorful lyrics include positive themes of strength, perseverance, conquering your fears head-on, as well as pushing with no limits to accomplish your goals. They're release, RAGNAROK, is the theme song for the award winning controversial documentary, SUPERPOWER, which has just signed an international distribution deal. Now focusing on their full length album and building a strong fanbase, they're quickly defining themselves as a southeast regional forerunner.
