AMAZING SHOWWW!!! IT WAS THE BEST SHOW I'VE EVER BEEN TO. SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD!!! THEY KICKED MAJOR ASS.
I have love Blink since I was 12 years old; 11 years later they still know how to put on an amazing show.
As for the openers Chester French was boring and Taking Back Sunday hasn't been good in years. However, Weezer (who I've seen 4 times before) was excellent. They played a few new songs and the classics, they opened with a Sabbath cover and closed with The Clash which I found extrememly awesome. Rivers Cuomo has aged but still knows how to entertain.
Finally Blink 182 came on and did not dissapoint. Tom was better than expected, he didn't let his Angels & Airwaves voice take over too much. Mark Hoppus was just as loveable as always and Travis Barker was phenominal, he is a freak of nature, no other drummer in the world can compare to him. The set list was good, opening with Dumpweed and closing the set with Anthem Part 2 before the encore of Carousel and Dammit. They played a lot off of the Self Titled album which was to be expected, I just wish they didn't play them all so close together. I was surprised not to hear Stokholm Syndrome. The sold out crowd went nuts for the classics like Josie, Rock Show and First Date. I was surprised/ecstatic when they busted out "Don't Leave Me," which was totally unexpected. It was definitely an amazing show, not the best Blink show I've gone to but still pretty epic. Hopefully they stick together and go out on tour again.
FUCKING SICKK!
i saw you guys in Hersheys and you put on an amazing show but i commented that Tom's voice sounded like shit. well idk what happened but it sounds great now and this show was epic!
This show was so amazing. It changed my life forever. This was my first concert and I can't believe that my dream of seeing Blink-182 live would ever come true. I told my friends in summer 2008 we would all go see them one day. I also made up it would be next summer lol. And somehow it came true. And I couldnt believe I was right. This changed my life and I will remember it forever. I hope I can go to the garden to see them again october 4th.
I've been a Blink fan since about the time Enema of the State came out and shortly thereafter began to love their older songs from Dude Ranch and Cheshire Cat. I loved Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, and dug the self-titled album although it was much different than the classic Blink 182.
That being said...I couldn't help but be a bit disappointed with the show. My biggest complaint was that they played too many songs from the new album in a row that were slow paced. When I think Blink-182, I think fast tempos, missed notes on guitar, and high energy. I actually got sleepy during part of it.
I loved when they played Josie, Dammit, Dumpweed, and Don't Leave Me. To me, these songs define the band. I realize that times have changed and they themselves have changed, but these are songs that I would say make Blink 182 Blink 182.
So, I give this performance three stars. I love the guys, they are my boyhood heroes. But I can't say the show is quite as I would have imagined it.
Reunion tour of Blink 182 was so SWEET. What made it sweeter was being able to see Weezer with them. I have to give Weezer props they brought their A game! Blink Favorite song of course being DAMMIT! It was AWESOME to see them doing what they do best ROCK!
Updated 2009-08-27 08:00:45No words can describe how amazing this concert was....All I will say
is that finally after all blink-182 and weezers music I have listened to
over the years....
I can finally say I saw BLINK182 AND WEEZER LIVE!
It was also awesome how the crowd sang along to every song of blink-182s! I loved it! I would definitely do it all over again!
