AMAZING!!!! blink kicked ass even in the pouring rain :)
even with the 5 hours of rain it made for an even better show and i had the time of my life waiting for blink and was blown away by the show, cant wait to see them again!
Awesome. Totally worth the hours of consistent, cold rain and feeling like I've literally just jumped fully-clothed into a pool. I've waited a good five years to see Blink perform again and I wasn't disappointed, although Chester French not being able to play was a downer. Also, maybe some older songs would have been cool. Either way, I can't wait to see them again! Tom and Mark- keep up your filthy antics! Wouldn't be a Blink show without it.
the show was totally worth waiting in the rain! this was my first time seeing blink and i screamed myself hoarse. i cant wait to see them again. mark and tom were awesome with their antics.
as a fan and just like the other 15,000+ screaming fans it was worth it waiting in the cold rain to see blink perform and seeing tom lay his guitar down and push it across stage was priceless!!
best show ive ever seen in the worst conditions ever. hours and hours of pouring rain and everyone wet but everyone was in a damn good mood when blink came on. fantastic show. blink 182 you made that such a special day for me, met a girl at the rock show on our first date so thank you for the first good day in a while. great show, go see them live
THANK YOU BLINK for doing that show in the rain, it was AMAZING in spite of everything that went wrong. Nothing would've kept me away from that show, not even 7 hours of POURING FREEZING rain! You guys are awesome for giving it your all in spite of the conditions, and 16k people from PA love you all the more for it!!!
I think we deserve something special for your next tour, like an extra song or extended Travis solo since we missed it!
this was the BEST concert i have ever gone too! i think the rain actually made it better. it just gave it an awesome feeling and so much energy!! LOVE BLINK!!!!!!!! YOU GUYS ARE MY OBSESSION!
this was a great show! i'm not a fan of the pete wentz's FOB, and i had never listened to panic (which wasnt to bad) but blink is my all time favorite band and if i could see them again this summmer i would in a heartbeat. DO NOT MISS SEEING THEM LIVE IN CONCERT!! it was the best concert i've ever been too
omg i have seen them like 7x and this was by far the BEST! i love them!!!!
thank god chester french couldn't play, made the night 5 times better, the rain made it really intense too, amazing show
i was really pleased w/ blink-182 and the other opening acts but i think we should get some type of repayment for a couple pf reasons: 1) One of the opening acts didn't preform. 2) There was no light show which blink them selves said was one of the biggest reasons to see them. 3) There was no drum solo which was hyped up. 4) I bought a limited edition poster for $35 and the rain messed it up, there should have been a place to put the poster after you bought it and pick it up after the show. 5) All of the performances were extremely rushed. But other then that all the performances were great.
Although the rain could have made my experience miserable, it was actually the best experience of my life. The guys were all on top of their game. Unfortunately, my stickers were ruined, so I'd like some new ones, but other than that I have no complaints because I only went to see blink.
Fantastic show! Blink kicked ass and they didn't need dry weather or a light show to prove it! (The light show would've been nice though...) Standing in the rain for hours didn't matter anymore because once they came on stage, you couldn't even feel the rain! Thanks so much for playing guys, you rocked.
Blink could have been much better. Starting with Dumpweed was the best thing they did all show, except for Tom Delonge messing up. The set list was so typical. All of their hits were played. What about The Party Song, or Wendy Clear, or Pathetic, or Aliens Exist, or Shut Up, or Anthem, or Emo, or Voyeur? I would have liked any of these songs better than Feeling This. I think everybody is happy with the show, because there's no real disappointment when it comes to blink. It's an amazing experience because it is Blink 182, but if they took a chance and played some shit that a real blink 182 fan wants to hear, then maybe the show would be all it could be.
The show was quite amazing, but I think they could have incorporated more songs from their previous albums other than the self-titled, which took up a majority of the set. Also the lights would have been nice, but I understand that was out of their control. I also would have liked it if Travis could have done the drum solo. It didn't have to be on the contraption. I would have just liked to see the solo. Overall the show was one of the best I have ever seen. If there was a little bit more variety I think it would have been better.
I was there and it was the Shit even though it rained
Two hours in a car with the windows down, singing along to my iPod playing a blink-182 mix, paying no attention to the clouds behind me. I get there and within 10 minutes it starts raining. I wind up huddling with 20 other fans under a booth. We talk about which album was the best. I'm sitting on the booth table doing karaoke to 'The Rock Show' while Panic sets up. Fast forward to pouring rain as FOB finishes up, myself already having been hassled by security five times. Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker finally get stage crew off the stage, they weren't getting much water off anyway. And the music starts. I'm dumbfounded for the first 2, 3 songs. I hear the distinct strum of a bass; 'I Miss You' has started. Tears flood to my eyes. Holy Shit, I'm actually here. Mark fucking Hoppus is singing just feet in front of me. I wipe my eyes and join the crowd in singing along. I jump up and down and scream my lung out to every single word. I go quiet, along with the other 16,000 people there after Tom finished a line of 'Always' because that's how it goes. Silence. "MARK HOPPUS IS GREAT IN BED!" I laugh until my sides cramp up. I watch as Barker drums as if he had never been in any accident, as DeLonge comes out in a towel, and Hoppus jumps up and down; flinging droplets into the air off the ground. This is happiness, this is what life is all about. Soaked to the bone, my fingers actually getting pruny, and totally ignoring the chills I'm getting and my squishy socks. I scream for 30 seconds solid at the top of my lungs when Hoppus asks us to help boost his ego. I won't be able to talk for the next week, I've lost my voice from all the screaming and singing. I hadn't lived until that night, and it was the best fucking night of my entire life.
everyone rocked and it was defiantly worth the five hours in the rain freezing to death. blink-182 should play in the rain more often.
Rained for 5 hours straight and that just made the show all the more epic! seeing you guys was amazing!
im a drummer and travis blew my fucking mind. Mark and tom: u guys were hilarious i loved it!
one piece of criticism.
TOM: AVA FUCKED UP your voice. i love u but AVA is NOT the shit. go back to singing like u did. i know i speak for most blink fans. and more enema songs wouldve been cool... only key songs from the untitled album.
still great tho
my first blink concert ever. i had the time of my life. and truthfully the rain and the lack of all the other little perks made it all the better because blink is fucking awesome and they dont need that stupid shit. They can rock all by themselves! and i totally got eye contact with mark. =D. total orgasim.
this was a GREAT show, too bad Chester French couldnt play and it rained and we didn\'t get the solo, and we were FREEZING in the rain and the lights didnt work very well and the mics were shorting out and all BUT, i must say blink 182 was truly amazing and i had one of the funnest nights of my life
i have never been so happy i witnessed my heroes!
amazing show- music and energy wise! being wet and cold sucked, but the 5+ years of waiting was worth it. too bad hershey stadium has crappy rules and dumbass employees. i\'m sure 8/30 in md will be even better- can\'t wait!!
LIFE CHANGING, the concert was awsome, tom and mark were fudging hilarious, but blink shld tour with different bands, weezer wld have been good, but still amazing mayne
no words can describe how sick this concert was. standing in the pouring rain all night was only worth it for blink and even though the lights weren\'t working and tom messed up the lyrics to one of the songs it was still awesome. the people next to us said they came all the way from england just to see you guys! i am trying to go to the virginia beach one too. i would do anything to see you guys again. i will remember that night for the rest of my life! you guys are the fuckin best :) my favoritee
This was the best night of my life! I stood in the rain all night listening to the greatest band on earth! Thank you Mark, Tom, and Travis for putting on an amazing show that left me, and everyone around me, completely and totally satisfied. Not only was it worth every second, it was indescribably awesome! I said this Christmas that all I wanted was for Blink 182 to get back together for me to see them and it happened! I look forward to seeing you again but the losing my Blink 182 virginity was amazing... even if it was a little messy ;)
SO FUCKING GGOOD! WE\'RE ALL WET AND HORNY ACCORDING TO TOM!
It was the GREATEST concert i have been to in a long time even though it rained it was so completely worth it as long as you guys keep coming to PA ill keep coming to your shows
Updated 2009-08-17 20:34:51fucking amazing show will def. remember this for the rest of my life. Will see them again and again and again!!!! standing in the pouring rain for 5 hours was totally worth it!!
Updated 2009-08-17 23:45:01SICKEST CONCERT EVER!!! sucks about lights but even though we were all soaked the rain did make the show sick.... You guys fucking rocked i was going nuts... its been a couple days now and my throat still hurts from yelling and it took me legs 3 days to heal from the jumping lol but sick job guys!
best concert i\'ve ever been to and will have ever been to! i actually enjoyed the rain too. the only thing is i wish you would have played
shut up!
will be seeing you again soon!
-micah
not just the best fucking concert ever the best night ever....fuck the rain it didnt even matter blink was fucking insane...best band to see live ever!!!
Updated 2009-08-18 08:56:57i wish the we got to see the lights and stuff, but i dont even care. probably the best concert ive ever been too. panic\\\'s set was way too short and they mostly played oldddd songs. fob was great as always. blink is just hands down amazing.
this show rocked!!! it rained the whole time yet it was still great. you guys were so damn hilarous!!! though Chester French couldnt play their setlist it was a great show. i am so glad i got to see you guys!
show was amazing!!! Once blink took the stage no one even noticed the freezing pouring rain anymore, I think the rain made the show even better. My first blink show ever and it was awesome!! definately go see them live, it\'s totally worth it! sucked that t hey couldnt do the light show or the drum solo, but not their fault, amazing show overall. tom and mark are hilarious. \"Chocolate Rain!!\"
changed my life!! this show was sooo amazing even though we were out in the rain for so long. no one even noticed it once blink came on. i just felt bad for panic and fall out boy for having to play before blink.
This show was amazing and was definitely the highlight of my summer, maybe even my year! I\'ll always remember this show because it was my first time seeing blink-182 and the downpour made it epic. (: Only negative thing I have to say is the set list could have been better, what\'s with all the songs from the self titled album? I would have loved to hear M&M\'s, Wendy Clear, Online Songs, maybe even Wasting Time from the Cheshire Cat album? The encore was perfect, though. I messed up my throat for days screaming during Carousel. :D
i had a blast! i\'t stand in the rain for blink anytime! once they were on i didn\'t care one bit about the rain anymore. the show was amazing! i cant wait to see you in atlantic city!
I don\'t understand why everyone is hyping them up to be the greatest band ever... Tom fucks it all up. He needs to lose that AVA voice and sing like he used to. I was a HUGE blink fan in the 90\'s, I grew up with their music. But honestly, to hear them now, the way they sound and to see how awkward they are on stage (Tom), makes me think they felt obligated to do this tour and maybe still hate each other. I hate to bash them like this, but I\'m just telling it like it is. Maybe if you guys did the same (i know a lot of you feel what i\'m saying), they would take the criticism and do what they used to.
Through the rain, water-filled shoes, what felt like hypothermia, aching throat, back and legs, the show was worth more than life itself. All the bands were great, but the entire time I was anticipating blink. When they came on I got pretty much to the front and enjoyed it more than anything. Whenever I speak of the show I smile. I\'m hoping to buy tickets to further shows in the tour!
You guys made suffering through freezing cold rain all worth it. You guys made the best of a horrible weather situation. I just wish I could have seen the whole entire set up of the stage cause I heard there was some awesome stuff we missed, especially with the Travis drum solo....you need to come back to Hershey on a nicer day and give us a chance to see the REAL show!
